EPIGENETIC PROCESSES, SUCH AS DNA METHYLATION AND HISTONE POSTTRANSLATIONAL MODIFICATIONS, INTEGRATE INFLUENCES FROM THE GENES AND THE ENVIRONMENT TO REGULATE GENE EXPRESSION ACCORDINGLY.
